Dear Leah:

Remaking a work created by a teenaged girl requires some delicacy of
decision.  It was tempting to overlay my fifty year old self's greater
sophistication, but I tried to stay as close to the spirit of the original
as I could.  Where you'll see lots of reference to the Internet is in
Appendix A, where many of the companies offering useful products are listed
with their web site addresses or e-mail addresses.
